My husband's cousin insists on sending my husband a text message about one a week. We have both told him to stop sending them because I hate to pay verizon one cent extra (and a text message is approximately ten cents extra) when he can call us for free (I think I'm getting old and not embracing new technology). The messages usually consist of "Hey - we are watching the football game. Want to come over?" But he keeps sending them (possibly because he doesn't want to hear us make up some lame excuse on why we don't want to drive across town to hang out with him as he laments about why he keeps dating psycho women). Should I just let it rest? It's only $.10 a message. But I hate the way that verizon comes up with extra ways for me to give them money. Can I block text messages?

Tue, October 24, 2006 - 5:21 PMSome phone handsets have an auto delete setting. If you select no then when your inbox fills up u wont be able 2 get any new messages. One of my phones couldn't get texts I called my carrier and they said the wrong code had been put in my phone, so they can code your phone not to. Whether they will I don't know. I know Cingular will.
